Poetry TRIBE

Promiscuous

Could and probably saves many lives the condom.

To know that life depends upon this, I must be foolhardy to be caught in this predicament

I like a challenge But I am no daredevil

To risk my life while my sins multiply Draw me back O' Lord and show me the way unto redress

What hell's game is this?

I fear this is that which were hidden in darkness And there is no escape in the judgment

And the condom becomes Protector of my life O' God What of my soul?

Dancehall

Saturday night feeling irie reach the dance hall to listen to good music

Find the mood to party take a check at the door give the gate man my money who authorizes me to have a good time

Inside ... scanning the crowd I see a young man who resembles me long time ago

Carefree and happy for tomorrow There is no concern nothing matters But, this moment that art is lost on me Ahh!

The wonder that is youth how soon did he leave me?

A Parent Worry

Soon it will be five summers Since the birth of my son And he has grown With each passing summer A princely lad

Still my heart is not filled With pride It is filled with awe And amazement Reverence and humility

For me, tomorrow has it fears. The future is uncertain No one knows What will be A parent's care and concern has become mine

And it is just the beginning. What mortal ailments await me a father's love I tender. The anxiety awaits at every turn.

I've never felt more vulnerable I am unnerved. But, not him, my son He awakens and life is wonderful He faces the day with the glee of youth.

Undaunted by unknown dangers I chastise and admonish he questions why "What's wrong? What is the matter?" he says, and comforts me assuring me It's going to be okay The zeal of youth is wonderfully amazing.

Surely God is great and above it all.
