TRIBES Magazine Celebrates 4 Years - Gets Nominated for the 2009 Black Web Awards!
July 25, 2008 (Durham, NC) Now reaching urban communities around the globe, TRIBES Magazine celebrated its fourth anniversary last month and recently received a nomination for the 2009 Black Web Awards (www.blackwebawards.com).
The second nomination of its kind since inception, (Queen City Music Awards 2007 Nomination for Best Magazine) TRIBES has been in the streets and online since 2004 on a mission to showcase independent urban writers, musicians and artists of all mediums while entertaining and empowering its readers.
In a short time, TRIBES has reached several million readers in print and online and has been called a “tool in the journey” for the many struggling underground artists shaping urban arts and culture around the globe today.
